It is important to clean your spray tanning equipment regularly to help ensure longevity and efficiency. It also promotes a professional, clean look in your beauty salon, this is important for clients first impressions. To clean the machine and hose, simply wipe over with a damp cloth. This should ideally be done at the end of each day to avoid any build up of overspray on your machine.

To Clean Your Machine Filter

The filter is located at the base of the machine. It is vital that the filter and cover are cleaned at least once a week, depending on spray tan volume. The filter protects the machines internal motor from overspray, if not maintained correctly your equipment risks getting damaged and breaking.

Remove the filter cover and wipe over with a damp cloth to clean.

Remove the black filter and hold under running water until clean.

Leave the filter to air dry* over night, once dried you may insert the filter into your spray tan machine.

*never replace the filter or cover until fully dry, and NEVER use your Naked Tan spray tan machine unless the filter and cover are both securely in place.

To Clean Your Naked Tan Spray Gun

To ensure your Naked Tan Tanning Pro gun is maintained correctly, and you are getting the best results from your equipment, we recommend cleaning your spray tan guns at the end of every day. When cleaning your spray tan gun follow these simple instructions:

Pour water into the cup and screw into the gun.

Attach the gun to the hose and adjust to setting 8 to clean.

Turn the machine onto full power, holding the gun over the sink pull the trigger and allow the water to blow through the gun.

Continue spraying the water until the water appears clear. You can test this by holding a cloth, or paper towel in front of the nozzle.

Once the water is coming through and appears to be clear, unscrew the cup from the gun, rinse thoroughly and leave aside to air dry.

To dry the gun, begin by removing the hose from the guns handle. With air still blowing from the hose, hold the hose below the suction tube inside the gun while squeezing the trigger so the guns nozzle is open. Hold for approximately 20 seconds to ensure this section of your gun is dry. NEVER TRY TO REMOVE THE SUCTION TUBE, THIS IS A FIXED PART OF THE GUN.

When your gun is cleaned and dried correctly the guns pin will appear white and dry, with no traces of tanning solution.

To clean the outer part of the gun wipe over with a damp cloth. Then leave the gun and cup to dry on a towel over night. Always remember to readjust the gun to your preferred setting before your next spray tan! (recommended setting 3 or 4)

*NEVER SPRAY WITH A WET OR DAMP GUN, WATER MIXED WITH YOUR TANNING SOLUTION WILL CONTAMINATE THE PRODUCT AND MAY PREVENT THE TAN FROM DEVELOPING. ALWAYS ENSURE YOUR GUN IS FULLY DRY BEFORE USE
